The Red Thread to Winning Share of Voice Against Bigger Healthcare Brands
Reframe Inspira Health’s reputation to drive visibility, trust and demand in a healthcare market crowded by larger, better-known brands. Inspira needed to be understood not as a smaller regional system, but as a modern provider delivering advanced care close to home.
In a landscape shaped by major urban and academic health systems, the challenge was to counter the instinct that better care required going elsewhere and strengthen Inspira’s reputation among patients, employees, media and industry stakeholders.

For many regional and community-based health systems, the hardest perception to change is the belief that quality care must exist somewhere else. Inspira had invested in clinical expertise, expanded access, advanced technology and patient experience, but those strengths needed to become more visible, more connected and more credible in the market. Red Thread PR recognized an opportunity to help Inspira tell a more universal healthcare story: that sophisticated and innovative care can be found locally.
RTPR turned Inspira’s growth, expertise and community impact into a sustained reputation narrative, helping move the brand from locally familiar to competitively understood as a challenger brand with the evidence, leadership and voice to stand alongside larger peers.
Over a multi-year engagement spanning the height of COVID and the years that followed, RTPR helped shape and amplify a comprehensive story of Inspira. The work extended across earned media, executive visibility, employee communications and crisis preparedness, creating an integrated reputation strategy designed to build trust from the inside out.
Rather than treating facility growth, service-line expansion, technology investments and clinical expertise as separate announcements, RTPR connected them to a larger narrative about access, quality and progress. Each story became a proof point that Inspira was investing in the future of care for the communities it served and making it easier for patients to receive high-quality treatment closer to where they live, work and raise their families.
That framing helped shift the conversation from geography to confidence. Inspira was not just a convenient local option; it was a serious healthcare contender with the expertise and infrastructure to meet modern patient expectations.

As the pandemic reshaped the healthcare landscape, RTPR helped Inspira communicate with clarity and consistency during a period when communities needed trusted information as much as clinical care. Through media relations, community content and timely public health messaging, Inspira showed up not only as a provider, but as a steady source of guidance for the people depending on it.
At the same time, RTPR worked to elevate Inspira’s clinical experts in local, trade and national conversations around timely health and wellness topics. Placements in outlets including USA Today, GQ, VOGUE, Women’s Health, Parents and The New York Times extended Inspira’s authority beyond its immediate footprint while reinforcing credibility closer to home. Behind the scenes, RTPR also partnered closely with Inspira’s marketing and communications team to support the internal communications infrastructure needed to sustain that external reputation, from leadership updates and HR communications to safety issues, facility developments, CEO videos, town halls and system-wide messages.

Across six years of work from 2020 to 2025, RTPR helped transform Inspira’s communications function into a sustained reputation engine—one that supported visibility, credibility and trust at scale.
The program generated more than 3.5K media placements and 916.4M impressions, with 45% of coverage including a subject matter expert quote. In 2025, Inspira earned 21% share of voice among its peer set, which includes larger, well known academic health systems, in a crowded healthcare market and proving that the system was increasingly able to stand alongside, and at times outperform, larger, better-known peers in local and regional coverage.
That visibility mattered beyond media metrics. During the same period RTPR was helping Inspira build a more visible, trusted and competitive voice in the market, the system was also seeing real momentum in patient demand. Inspira’s Mullica Hill campus, which opened in 2019 with future growth in mind, moved toward expansion sooner than expected as demand outpaced projections. Communications alone did not drive that growth, but it was an important factor in strengthening Inspira’s reputation as a trusted brand and credible care option close to home.
Together, the share-of-voice gains and Mullica Hill expansion point to the larger outcome that RTPR helped Inspira become more competitive in a crowded healthcare market while reinforcing the trust, visibility and credibility that support patient choice. Ultimately, the work reinforced the broader healthcare truth that where care is delivered should not limit how good that care can be.
