PRNEWS Recognizes Red Thread PR’s Work with TruGreen as Platinum PR Awards Finalist

PRNEWS celebrates the best campaigns, teams, and programs in the communications and PR world each year through its awards, and Red Thread PR is recognized in the Marketing Communications category for this program.

Throughout 2021, Red Thread PR developed and executed a comprehensive public relations campaign to educate consumers, promote TruGreen’s services, and generate valuable leads for the national lawn care company. The campaign particularly focused on elevating thought leadership to demonstrate TruGreen’s expertise and ability to deliver tailored, localized plans and services. Red Thread PR’s strategic campaign included a series of original research projects designed to not only create valuable data, but also drive conversation among audiences and media. In addition, the agency collaborated with TruGreen on key activations throughout the year, centered around TruGreen’s partnership with First Tee — a youth development organization that introduces the game of golf and its values to youth. The overarching PR campaign was rooted in a robust earned media strategy to increase awareness, consideration and sales for TruGreen from homeowners across the country.

The annual program resulted in more than 4,200 placements totaling nearly 520 million impressions, a 15,462% and 7,318% year-over-year increase respectively. Additionally, TruGreen’s earned media share of voice increase 31% during that same period – increasing the brand’s presence in local communities.
